University's Accomplishments Noted in Two National Magazines
September 14, 2011
Saint Leo University has again been
included in the top tier of regional universities in the South by
U.S. News and World Report for its 2012 Best Colleges Rankings.
Regional universities offer a full range of undergraduate programs,
and some master’s programs, as does Saint Leo. Additionally, Saint
Leo ranked in the top tier within this category. The U.S. News and
World Report ranking considers factors such as student-teacher
ratio, and is often used by young adults and their families in
selecting a college or university.
Saint Leo has also been
honored by another national publication that serves members of the
armed forces and veterans. GI Jobs magazine has once again included
Saint Leo University in its listing of “military-friendly”
institutions. Saint Leo has been proudly serving armed forces
members, veterans, and their families for more than 35 years with
teaching locations in seven states, as well as online. According to
the magazine, its 2012 Military Friendly Schools list honors the
top 20 percent of colleges, universities and trade schools that are
doing the most to embrace America’s military service members and
veterans as students.
Both magazine rankings were released this week.
