Father Isaac Camacho made his first profession as a Benedictine monk at Tepeyac Abbey, Mexico, in 1988. Transferring to Saint Leo Abbey in 1991, he pronounced his solemn vows at Saint Leo in December, 1994. He was ordained priest at Saint Leo Abbey Church December 22, 2001. He has served as parochial vicar at St. Marks’ Catholic Church, North Tampa, for the past four years. Prior to that he was formation director of the Abbey. Abbot Isaac holds a Master of Arts degree in theology from St. Meinrad Archabbey, St. Meinrad, Indiana Divinity School and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Saint Leo University.
