Consumers Digest ranks SLU in top five private colleges
May 10, 2007
Congratulations SLU!
SAINT LEO, FLA. – Consumers Digest magazine ranked
Saint Leo University in the nation’s top five best values in
Private Colleges and Universities. In a recent news release, the
magazine’s publisher reported that the schools were evaluated
according to a formula that combined the academic achievements of
first-time freshmen (standardized test scores, high-school rank,
grade-point average) with the University’s educational quality,
based on its graduation rate, the student-to-faculty ratio, and the
percentage of faculty with doctoral degrees.
The complete story can be found in the June issue of Consumers Digest, available at
newstands and in bookstores.
Chartered in 1889, north of Tampa in St. Leo, Fla., Saint Leo
University is one of the largest and most innovative Catholic
universities in the United States. Students enrolled at Saint Leo
may choose from more than 41 academic programs, including
bachelor’s degrees, master’s degrees, pre-professional and
accelerated-learning programs.

military and a leader in online higher education, Saint Leo’s
