Without a doubt, the college your child chooses says a lot about them. Choosing Saint Leo University says they...

Saint Leo University offers our students all of this and more, under the warm Florida sunshine.

Getting Started

Review the Application Process
College applications typically involve a fair amount of paperwork. So before your child clicks the "submit" button, make sure they understand everything that's being asked. Explore undergraduate admission information. Is your student an incoming freshman? A transfer student? An international student? Follow the specific admission steps outlined for each.

Beat the Deadlines
Saint Leo has a rolling admission process, so candidates can submit applications to the university anytime within a large window. However, priority application dates can be found here. Keep in mind that college admission offices are inundated with applications for a few months each year—if possible, your child should get theirs in before the rush.

High School General Education Requirements
Applicants for regular freshman admission status must have a minimum cumulative high school GPA of 2.7, and must have successfully completed the following high school courses by the time they enroll at Saint Leo University:

  • Mathematics: 3 years including Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry

Average Student Profile at Saint Leo (First-Time in College)

  • Average GPA of 3.34

  • Average ACT of 21

Letters of Recommendation

Saint Leo requires each applicant to submit a letter of recommendation directly from a high school guidance counselor or teacher. Talk to your child about selecting a teacher or counselor who knows them well, and can speak to their preparation for college-level work.

Test-Optional Policy

Most students take their SAT or ACT the spring of their junior year or the fall of their senior year of high school. Because Saint Leo remains committed to emphasizing a holistic review of students' credentials for admission, we have decided that factors other than test scores are stronger predictors of a student's potential to succeed in college. Saint Leo University no longer requires undergraduate applicants to submit SAT or ACT scores as part of their application. However, applicants are welcome to submit scores: Saint Leo's SAT Code is 5638, and ACT Code is 0755. Read the full Test-Optional Policy here.
