About Career Planning

Our Mission

Career Planning assists students with all phases of career development from career guidance and job search training to resume advice, interview skills, and professional networking. We support the mission of Saint Leo University by offering a practical and effective model for life and leadership in a challenging world.

Our students are provided a full range of services from self-exploration and decision-making activities to understanding career options, transitioning well into a work environment, and making a significant contribution to the communities they chose to join.

Our employers are treated like partners as we seek to understand their current and future talent needs and create a variety of ways for them to connect with Saint Leo University students and alumni.

Our Saint Leo University community is a richly diverse learning community that is driven to create opportunity for individuals through the practical application of knowledge, skills, and abilities. This commitment has direct implications for individuals, families, communities, this nation, and the global community where Saint Leo men and women are found.

Navigating this Website is easier when you select content from the “Resources” column on the left by audience type.

For example, Students can get an overview of our services; examine possible majors and career options; access LionsLINK; review information about how to prepare your professional documents (resume and cover letter); and what is involved in preparing for your first job or internship search. Our alumni are invited to explore networking & professional development opportunities including our Toolbox of resources in addition to learning about both mentoring and employer partnership programs.

Employers can access information about on-campus recruiting and creative alternatives to information sessions through this site as well as posting part-time, internship, and full-time opportunities on our LionsLINK platform. Information about the majors, academic programs, locations, and a map to our Saint Leo, Florida campus are also found here. Our faculty and staff partners can request presentations on a wide range of topics and access good advice about recommending a student or offering a letter of reference.
