Requesting a Presentation

The Career Planning staff is available upon request to come to present to a variety of student groups (class, club meeting, organization, etc.).

We conduct presentations on a wide variety of topics including:

  • Planning A Career
  • Resume Writing
  • Interviewing Effectively
  • How to Obtain an Internship
  • Conducting A Job Search
  • Planning for Graduate School
  • Preparing for a Career Fair
  • Networking and Effective use of Social Platforms

Any of these topics can be targeted to your specific major or career field. You may also request a presentation related to career planning and job search appropriate for your group.

We appreciate receiving requests at least 2 weeks in advance and will try to accommodate all requests depending on our staff availability. We have a common area in Career Planning (Saint Edward Hall 102) that can accommodate groups up to 25 people or we can arrange to meet at your location.

To submit a Career Planning presentation request, please contact Career Planning by calling 352-588-8442 or by emailing two weeks prior to your intended date. With sufficient notice (three or four weeks) we can invite employers to participate in your presentation; of course, employer presenters are subject to their availability.
