Verification confirms through documentation review that the
information provided on a student’s Free Application for Federal
Student Aid (FAFSA) is accurate. Students are randomly selected for
verification by the Department of Education or Saint Leo if
conflicting information is presented. The verification process
prevents ineligible students from receiving aid by reporting false
information and ensures that eligible students receive all of the
aid for which they are qualified.
If you are submitting a form for the 2015-2016 academic year, you
MUST submit your form using eForm. You can access eForm by logging
into the student portal at portal.saintleo.edu and clicking on “eForm”
under the UTS Services section.
Forms for the 2014-2015 verification process can be found on the
Students who are selected for verification will not be eligible
to receive financial aid until all documents have been received and
reviewed. It is important to respond to requests for documentation
in a timely manner to avoid delays in applying your financial aid
as a credit to your bill. If a student has received a fund
disbursement prior to being selected for verification and the new
FAFSA data submitted renders the student ineligible for financial
aid, or if the student does not complete verification, the student
will be obligated to return the disbursed funds and pay any
resulting balance on their student account.

You will be notified by email that you have been selected for
verification and that additional documents are needed to complete
your financial aid file. This email will be sent to your Saint Leo
email address only.

"Blank" or "Not Received" status indicates that the document was
not received, the document was illegible, or the document was not
identified with the student ID. Remember to include your student
ID# on all documentation.
When all documents requested are received, we will review them
along with your SAR information. You will be notified via an email
