Computer Science Association

"...organized structure and forum to allow for networking and development among established and aspiring computer science professionals, students, and faculty."

Opportunities and Benefits

The Computer Science Association is a Saint Leo COL student-supported professional association for those interested in computer related topics and areas. Members are treated to a rich networking environment which allows them to reach new personal, academic, and professional career goals.

The Computer Science Association has hosted some remarkable guest speakers, from SLU faculty to members in the IT industry. We have been treated to topics such as free software, future trends in information technology, and the advantages of earning a CS degree online.

Membership

The best benefit of membership in the CSA is having fun! A good sense of humor to help ease the stress of taking courses online is always welcome, and the CSA makes every attempt to create a relaxed atmosphere for members to come and explore a new concept or to give their brain a rest with funny and irreverent items.

The Saint Leo COL Computer Science Association is comprised of the association membership body and an executive board. All CSA members vote on matters affecting the association. This helps to ensure that the association continues to meet the needs of the current membership while keeping an eye focused on the future. Members are encouraged to participate as much as they are able through meeting in the chat room, posting to the message board, and by submitting articles for the CSA Newsletter.
