Saint Leo University requires all full-time undergraduate students attending University Campus to carry health insurance. All full-time campus students are automatically enrolled in the program and may waive out by completing the online waiver process with comparable coverage. This policy does not apply to Graduate students, Online students, Weekend and Evening students or students attending any of our Distance Learning Centers.
Students coming to University Campus for the 2012 Fall semester will be charged $1,078.00 for coverage from August 1, 2012 to July 31, 2013. Students enrolled in the 2012 Fall semester must waive the insurance no later than September 10, 2012. For students entering in the Spring 2013 semester, the cost is $810, which provides coverage from January 1 – July 31, 2013. Students enrolled in the Spring semester must waive the insurance no later than January 25, 2013.
Students with health insurance coverage provided through either a group or individual plan comparable to the University's insurance policy, may waive** the University program. Insurance coverage provided by a non-US company or through a travel medical policy will not be considered valid for waiver purposes. The insurance waiver must be completed by September 10, 2012 for students entering in the Fall semester and January 25, 2013 for students entering in the Spring semester. Attention Incoming Freshman: Access to the waiver is based on your full time enrollment. We will get you access to the waiver within just a few days of registration. You will be receiving communication to your @email.saintleo.edu email account once you have been given access. If you do not hear from us by January 2, 2013, please contact us at tranestop@saintleo.edu for assistance.
Returning Students: Access to the waiver is based on registration. You will receive communication from Trane Stop when you have been granted access to the insurance waiver. If you have issues logging in, please email us at tranestop@saintleo.edu so we may assist you.
