Orientation

New Student Orientation Page | New Student Resources page

PLEASE NOTE: Fall Orientation starts on Thursday, August 21, 2014 and all international students should plan to arrive for Move In Day on Tuesday (August 19, 2014) or if you live off-campus, on Wednesday (August 20, 2014).

There will be a special orientation session for international students beginning at 9 a.m. Wednesday, August 20, 2014.

International Student Orientation begins prior to Freshman, Transfer and/or Graduate Orientation and is required for all international students. The purpose of orientation is to help you make the transition to University life in the United States. Academic, cultural and immigration issues are discussed in detail. In addition, social activities such as time with your Orientation Leaders, dinner with student leaders on-campus, and a shopping trip are among the things that are planned.

This orientation dovetails into the New Student Orientation activities so that once the international students have gotten to know one another, they are also able to get to know other new U.S. students during the regular orientation.
