How can the Learning Resource Center help me?
Tutors are on hand to help you learn more efficiently, understand assignments, do research, or write papers. There are PCs available for use. Printers are available for you to print from your laptop computer. A copy machine is available at 10 cents per sheet – bring change!

How do I make an appointment for tutoring?
Come to the Learning Resource Center and sign up in the appointment book. Or you may call 588-8307. Appointments are usually made for one-hour sessions. You may also "walk in" any time we are open and see if there is a tutor available. Many students just come in when they need help and we can usually find someone to help them.

If I can’t keep an appointment, how do I cancel?
Call the Learning Resource Center at X8307 to cancel an appointment.

Are tutors available to help me with Internet research?
Yes, our tutors are capable of helping you find the proper search engines and can also help you judge whether the site is a valuable resource.

Do tutors work with small groups?
Generally, tutors work with one student at a time, but arrangements can be made for small group (two or three students) tutoring.

With what subjects can tutors help me?
We can help with most subjects in our general education curriculum as well as many of the upper division courses. Most of our professional tutors have master’s degrees and teaching experience. They are well equipped to help with English/writing, math, science, and most other courses freshmen and sophomores will take. We also have qualified upper-class students who can tutor in the more advanced courses in their majors. A student can get assistance in nearly any course we have here at Saint Leo University.

I feel overwhelmed by all my assignments and tests. Can someone help me get back on track?
Yes. Call Dr. MacEachran at x8462 and arrange to meet with her. She will work with you to determine how our services can help you meet your needs.
