Be advised, mobile devices can also spread viruses to computers that they are connected to.

  • Set a password to all mobile devices so that if it is left unattended, lost, or stolen, the data on the device is harder to access.
  • Only download apps from reputable sources. Only visit website links with a trusted address; do not open any email links from an unknown address.
  • Download a reputable mobile security tool to scan for any malware or spyware for every app downloaded. It is also advisable that the security tool can help locate the lost or stolen device and protect from unsafe websites.
  • Download all updates as soon as they are available.
