The Department of Natural Sciences affords students the opportunity to immerse themselves in courses and experiences that lead to a bachelor’s degree in Biology within one of three areas of specialization: Ecology, Biomedical and Health Sciences, or General Biology. The Department also offers a minor in Chemistry. Our students are encouraged to engage in experiential learning and personalized, hands-on application of learning inside and outside of the classroom. From faculty-led research experiences to acceptance into nationally funded summer internships, our students graduate with transferable skillsets and maturity to quickly establish themselves in successful careers and attain competitive acceptances into top-tier graduate and professional schools.
The Social Sciences Department encompasses several programs of study: History, Political Science, Psychology, and Sociology, along with a wide variety of minors. The department offers many opportunities which allow students to engage in activities far beyond the classroom. We hold membership in national honor societies for each major, which allows graduates to wear a special cord at graduation.
