The Master of Education with a concentration in Educational Leadership for Catholic Leader Administrators degree is designed to meet the continuing education and professional needs of a private K-12 school educators seeking advancement as assistant principles, principles, deans and administrators.
The curriculum is aligned with the Florida Principal Leadership Standards, the Florida Educational Leadership competencies and skills, and the national Professional Standards for Educational Leaders. Coursework in this programs will focus on the four domains of effective leadership: student achievement; instructional leadership; organizational leadership; and professional and ethical behavior. The 36 semester credit hour program may be completed in as little as 30 months Online or in a traditional, blended format at select cohort locations in Florida.
This Florida state-approved program meets all requirements set forth by the State of Florida's Department of Education. Candidates in the program must pass the Florida Education leadership Exam (FELE) to gain eligibility for degree conferral. Additionally, students who have not met the State of Florida English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) requirement must complete course EDU 561. Graduates from the program are eligible for Florida's Education Leadership Level 1 certification. Our students find success as vice-principals, principals and administrators in school districts throughout Florida and outside of the state, due to reciprocity agreements the Florida Department of Education holds with other states.
