Dr. Kevin M. KiefferÂ received a B.A. degree in psychology fromÂ Indiana University, a M.S. degree in Counseling Psychology from the UniversityÂ of Southern Mississippi and a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Texas A&MÂ University. He completed both a predoctoralÂ internship and a postdoctoralÂ residency in geropsychology and neuropsychology at the James A Haley VA MedicalÂ Center in Tampa, Florida and is a licensed psychologist in the State ofÂ Florida. Dr. Kieffer has published over 18 scholarly articles and book chaptersÂ and hasÂ presented over 90 papers at national and international psychologicalÂ conventions. His research interests include methodology, research, andÂ statistics, substance abuse screening and treatment, and geropsychological andÂ neuropsychological assessment in addition to a moreÂ recent focus on the effectsÂ of violent media and videogame content on player behavior. Dr. Kieffer's previousÂ scholarly work has been featured in a number of media outlets from newspapersÂ such as the New York, Los Angeles and London Times to TV stations such as CNN,Â ABC and NBC Nightly News.
