Associate Professor of Global Studies and Sociology; Director, Global Studies Program
Dr. Patricia Campion was born and raised in Chartres, France. As an undergraduate, she studied abroad in CÃ³rdoba, Spain, and completed an internship in Bolivia. For her dissertation, she pursued her interest in Latin America by analyzing the spatial distribution of local NGOs in San Luis PotosÃÂ, Mexico. After graduation, she created a consulting firm in the California Central Valley, providing strategic planning and evaluation services to local social service organizations. She then moved to Tennessee Technological University for four years, before joining Saint Leo University in 2009. She teaches a variety of Sociology and Global Studies courses, and also teaches in the Honors program. She has been a member of the Saint Leo Institutional Review Board since 2010 and chaired it for three years. In her spare time, she likes to travel, walk her dogs, cook, and write.
