Under the mentorship of industry professionals, the 6-12 credit hour internship can be performed anywhere in the world that facilitates your career goals. Our students have performed internships in host agencies such as Walt Disney World, Sea World Parks, Busch Gardens, St. Augustine Ecotours, AAA Auto Club South, Amazonia Expeditions, Tampa Convention Center, Springfield (MA) Convention and Visitors Bureau, and The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism, to name a few.

Study Abroad

Saint Leo maintains partnerships with more than a dozen international universities, and organizes for-credit, faculty-led excursions and alternative spring breaks.


Attend tourism-related trade shows and conferences, such as the Southeast Tourism Society’s Spring Symposium, Florida Tourism Day in Tallahassee, or Destination: Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C.


Network with the program’s Industry Liaison Council (ILC), an advisory board of prominent senior executives representing all sectors of the tourism and hospitality industry. The ILC meets each fall and spring to interact with Saint Leo students and to report on a variety of action items that impact our program. ILC members host field trips, provide internship placements, serve as Professor-For-A-Day, and provide valuable industry contacts.
