Saint Leo University recognizes transfer credits only from regionally accredited degree-granting institutions as listed in the American Council on Education's Accredited Institutions of Postsecondary Education. Regional accreditation is the highest form of accreditation a college or university can obtain, and is recognized throughout the U.S.

If you are applying to a Saint Leo University online program, it is important you are aware of the accreditation of the postsecondary education institutions you attended, as some colleges, junior colleges, and technical schools may have national rather than regional accreditation.
Credit Transfer Policies
Associate of Arts
If you have an Associate of Arts degree from a regionally accredited institution, you may transfer as many as 64 credits.
All Other Undergraduate Degrees and Course Credits
Your credits will be evaluated by the Saint Leo Registrar on a course-by-course basis if you have credits from a regionally accredited institution, or an associate's degree other than an Associate of Arts (e.g. Associate of Science, Associate of Applied Science, Associate in General Studies, Associate in Business, or other associate degree).
Saint Leo University holds articulation agreements with more than 50 institutions throughout the U.S. This formal agreement allows credit from these institutions to translate directly into credit for Saint Leo University courses. All Graduate Degrees
Your credits will be evaluated by the Saint Leo Registrar Graduate Program Offices for each program on a course-by-course basis if you have credits from a regionally accredited institution earned at the graduate level with a grade of B or better, up to 6 credits for most programs and 9 credits for MSW 2 or 3 year programs.
Credit Transfer Process
While following the standard undergraduate or graduate application procedure, you must submit official transcripts from all previously attended institutions. The Registrar will evaluate your undergraduate transcripts for undergraduate applicants to determine the number of credits you may transfer. The Graduate Program Offices for each program will evaluate your graduate transcripts for graduate applicants to determine the number of credits you may transfer.
