New graduates, families, and guests visiting University Campus for commencement activities this weekend will enjoy the sight of a beautiful campus, a warm welcome from the university community, and pleasant weather with a high temperature predicted around 81 degrees.

A Baccalaureate Mass open to all will take place at 3 p.m., Friday, in the Marion Bowman Activities Center. The Mass will be celebrated by the Most Reverend Gregory L. Parkes, bishop of the Diocese of St. Petersburg and a member of the Saint Leo University Board of Trustees.

Three commencement ceremonies will follow, all to be held in the Marion Bowman Activities Center. The schedule is as follows.

  • Friday, April 27, 7 p.m.: An expected 330 students will graduate during a ceremony for Saint Leo WorldWide, which includes online and Adult Education Center students as well as some traditional undergraduates.
  • Saturday, April 28, 9 a.m.: More than 400 students will receive master's degrees in a variety of fields. Two students will receive their Doctor of Business Administration degrees.
  • Saturday, April 28, 2:30 p.m.: Traditional undergraduates who studied at University Campus will receive their bachelor's degrees. The graduating class includes more than 300 students participating in the ceremony.
