Our University Safety Department takes that statement seriously. We are staffed with trained and professional officers who are certified in their field by the State of Florida. They patrol the campus twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, on foot, mountain bikes, patrol car, and golf carts.
We are proud of the fact that Saint Leo University has an extremely low crime rate which allows our students to focus on priorities: Being a student!
Please stop by and visit our office or stop one of the officers for a chat. We believe that you will find our University Safety personnel to be friendly, caring, and attentive to your concerns.
If we can be of assistance please do not hesitate to call upon us.

Incident & Crisis Assistance
Saint Leo University understands that your well-being is important to you. In an effort to alleviate some of your worries, the university has both internal and external measures to ensure your safety. The Office of Campus Security & Safety patrols the main campus 24 hours a day, seven-days-a-week. Additionally, when necessary, the Office provides additional security personnel through a third-party security provider.
Regroup
One of the ways Saint Leo University passes information to its’ students is through the use of a program called "Regroup". The program allows staff members to record a voice message, select whether the message is to be delivered to the student by telephone, email, text message or by all three methods, select a date and time the message should be delivered, and then provides a report on number of calls completed after the message is delivered. Whenever there is a need to contact a large portion of our student body, Regroup is the program that is able to do this quickly and efficiently-So please make sure we have your correct phone numbers. The e-mail is sent to your Saint Leo University e-mail address (Usually, firstname.lastname@email.saintleo.edu).
Audible Mass Notification
A University-wide audible mass notification system is in place that contacts the University Campus community via audio messages in the event of an emergency, such as but not limited to: severe weather alerts (Tornado watch or warning), or safety threats. These emergency notification systems, including residence hall fire alarms, are tested periodically.
Parking Registration
If you are bringing a car to campus, you must register your vehicle with the University and obtain a parking decal.
How to Register for a Parking Decal
There is a $60 fee for resident students ($30 for commuter students) to obtain a parking permit on campus.

Anonymous Tip Line
(352) 588-7777
Saint Leo University has established a confidential TIP LINE as an alternative means by which, faculty, staff or students can relay valuable information in an anonymous manner. If you see an incident or have information regarding a situation that will be a detriment to the university you can anonymously report this by calling 352-588-7777.
The University's goal in providing this service is to receive information from those individuals who are reluctant to step forward and become involved. By not reporting criminal activity and allowing an injustice to prevail, is counter productive to the CORE VALUES of Saint Leo University.
The telephone calls received on the TIP LINE are recorded on a voice messaging system. There is no way to identify or contact the caller unless they specifically leave that information on the recorded message. These messages are forwarded directly to the Campus Security Office. The messages are thoroughly evaluated and are investigated as deemed necessary.
Please realize that no tip is too small or unimportant and that cooperation by all faculty, staff and students along with Campus Security is EVERYONE'S BUSINESS.
