Dr. Sereni-Massinger serves as an Associate Professor of Public Safety Administration. She received her Juris Doctor from Widener University School of Law. Prior to her teaching career, Dr. Sereni-Massinger was a seasoned trial attorney who had worked both as a state prosecutor and a criminal defense attorney in the city of Philadelphia. She was elected Pennsylvania's youngest female judge at the age of 27 and served in that capacity for ten years where she presided over hundreds of misdemeanor and felony cases.
Dr. Sereni-Massinger has published and presented at both the national and international level on the customization of on ground and on line learning environments to fit various learning styles. She has also published numerous peer reviewed articles and has presented nationally on incorporating critical thinking into the police academy curriculum. She has won awards for her teaching including the Distinguished Faculty Award and the Outstanding Faculty Award.
