    Delmar P. Wright, Ph.D.

    Associate Professor Dr. Delmar P. Wright is an Associate Professor of Criminal Justice in the College of Education and Social Services and taught at other institutions of higher learning prior to becoming a full-time faculty member at Saint Leo University(SLU). Dr. Wright's research interests include transnational crimes, the future of policing and criminal justice, mass killings, the impact of technology on law enforcement and criminal investigations, the changing nature of crime and criminal investigations, multi-disciplinary approaches in addressing victimization, and organizational leadership. His published works have included topics such as identity theft, telemetric policing, global surveillance, intelligence, convict criminology, and others. He is a director of the Richmond FBI Citizen's Academy Alumni Association and a former director and current vice president of the Virginia Association of Criminal Justice Educators. He is a 30-year law enforcement veteran having received multiple significant national awards for exemplary performance and professional achievements.
