Harsha Perera is an Assistant Professor of Physics/Physical Sciences in the College of Arts and Science at Saint Leo University. She is teaching General Physics I, General Physics II, and General Physics I - Lab, General Physics II – Lab and General Education courses at Saint Leo University.
Prior to joining the faculty at Saint Leo University, she had taught in an adjunct capacity at University of Tampa, University of South Florida – Saint Petersburg, Hillsborough Community College, Everglades University and Saint Petersburg College.
Dr. Perera received her bachelor’s degree from University of Colombo, Sri Lanka in 2006 and her Doctorate degree in Astrophysics from University of Texas at Arlington in 2014. Her Ph.D research was based on theoretical study of Alfvén waves in solar atmosphere.
