Megan Case, M.F.A, M.B.A.
Administrator of Events and Special Programs, Adjunct Instructor in Department of Language Studies and the Arts
In 2015, Megan Case began her career with Saint Leo University as Administrator of Events and Special Programs for the College of Arts and Sciences. Having already more than ten years of event management in the hospitality industry and nearly ten years of teaching in higher education, the position seemed perfectly designed for Megan’s unique skill set. The position required planning, marketing, execution and follow-up for each of the many academic events that the College of Arts and Sciences sponsored each term as part of its program of civic engagement and community involvement. In addition to planning and executing the busy program of events, Megan works to increase the College’s marketing and online presence. The College of Arts and Sciences didn’t have any social media pages in 2016. Recognizing that social media and email marketing could substantially grow the College’s community engagement, she launched the official social media accounts Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, registered an official Arts and Sciences YouTube channel and domain for an official blog site. Since then, she has taken webinars on social media skills training, attended workshops for audience building, and undertaken a program of self-teaching through books, YouTube tutorials, online training courses, podcasts and influencer sites. Megan’ interest social media marketing for businesses led her to enroll in Saint Leo University’s M.B.A. program with an emphasis in social media marketing. Megan is on track to earn her degree in May 2020 and expects her training to help her further develop the College of Arts and Sciences online presence and fundraising/sponsorship efforts. Megan enjoys problem-solving and taking on projects when they are in their beginning stages. She is deeply invested in the mission and vision of the College of Arts and Sciences and espouses the Core Values of Saint Leo University.
