Dr. Rhondda Waddell is an Associate Dean and a Full Professor in Social Work in the College of Education and Social Services at Saint Leo University and is a licensed clinical social worker. Dr. Waddell has more than thirty years of social work practice and membership in the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) organization with a special interest in qualitative research, animal assisted therapy, and interdisciplinary practice. She co-developed the Interdisciplinary Family Health program in Gainesville, Florida which educates over 600 interdisciplinary health profession students and serves approximately 200 families in the Gainesville, Florida community annually. As a professor she delights in the development of an ongoing relationship with students, faculty members, and community partners in collaborative activities. Dr. Waddell co-developed and teaches an Interdisciplinary Approaches to Service and Therapy Animals Dr. Rhondda Waddell received both her Ph.D. and MSW degrees from Florida State class, and works closely with her therapy dog, Andy to serve vulnerable populations.
