Why choose a Global Studies Minor at Saint Leo?
At 18 credit hours, this minor will prepare students to be competitive in fields that address international concerns. By completing coursework in this minor, students will gain an understanding of how political and economic policies impact societies while improving their critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Additionally, students will better understand the complex, interdisciplinary challenges brought about by climate change, and learn new lessons about human rights, globalization, and immigration.
This Minor Comprises of the Following Courses
Courses are offered regularly and require the following four courses:
- SOC 201 – Globalization
- PHI 345 - Social Ethics: From Personal Values to Global Citizenship
- 3. GLO 350 - Conflict Resolution
- 4. GLO 410 - Systems Thinking
And, then, two other courses as noted in the catalog.
