Student aid is awarded and disbursed by academic term/semester. Saint Leo University begins disbursing aid ten days after the first day of the term/semester, assuming all requirements are met. Once financial aid has disbursed to a student account, if applicable, a refund is processed within 14 days.
Saint Leo University has partnered with BankMobile Disbursements to deliver refund money owed to students. New students will receive a Refund Selection Kit from BankMobile in the mail - it will arrive in a bright green envelope. Students will select their refund preference using a personal code included in the Refund Selection Kit. Once students receive their Refund Selection Kit and have their personal code, students should follow the steps below:
- Visit www.refundselection.com
- Enter personal code
- Select how you would like to receive your refund
Students have two options to receive their refund. Students can receive their refund as an electronic deposit to their personal checking account, or as a deposit to their BankMobile Vibe account. If a student chooses to receive their refund as an electronic deposit to their personal checking account, their money is transferred the same business day that BankMobile receives funds from Saint Leo University. Typically, it takes 1 to 2 business days for the receiving bank to credit the money to the student’s account. If a student opens a BankMobile Vibe account, (upon identity verification) their money is deposited the same business day that BankMobile receives funds from Saint Leo University.
If you have lost or misplaced your BankMobile Vibe Account card, you may request a new card. To do so, send an email request to firstname.lastname@example.org from your Saint Leo email address with your name, student ID number, and home address. You will receive your new BankMobile card within 7-10 business days.
Please note - if you do not select a preference online, BankMobile will hold your funds for 21 business days before releasing the funds to you in the form of a check. To help avoid this delay, please follow the directions above to select your refund preference.
Please note: A student must maintain financial aid eligibility for an award to be disbursed and a refund generated.
