Saint Leo University Ice Hockey
Founded in 2022, the Saint Leo University Ice Hockey Club is a competitive team composed of student-athletes from across the United States and Canada. Since its founding, Lions Club Hockey has experienced rapid growth—evolving from a brand-new startup competing against top amateur A and B League teams in the Tampa-Lakeland area into a strong prospective contender poised for admission into the ACHA’s College Hockey South (CHS) conference. While we await official entry into the CHS, the team continues to play a full exhibition schedule against top collegiate programs throughout the Southeast.
Saint Leo Lions Hockey is a student-led competitive team, supported by contributions from the university, student-athletes, and generous donors. These resources help cover all operational costs, including equipment, uniforms, rink time, travel, and officiating. The team is further strengthened by an Advisory Board consisting of student-athletes, faculty and staff advisers, and dedicated alumni volunteers.
