Are you fascinated by human behavior? Psychology offers a window into the way people think, feel and behave. Psychologists work to understand people and help them adjust to life transitions and achieve optimal mental health in everyday life.
Saint Leo’s Psychology degree provides a well-rounded education, with flexibility to tailor your course of study to meet your individual needs as a working professional.
Understand the human experience through cognitive psychology, personality theory, the biological bases of behavior, child and adolescent development, race and ethnicity, and qualitative and quantitative research methods. Learn to use industry-standard software, including Excel and SPSS. Translate your knowledge into workplace success with applied courses—in forensics, the military, counseling, and industrial and organizational psychology—as well as community service projects and internships.
Saint Leo maintains a strong reputation at many internship sites with locations near you, including Boys and Girls Club, Head Start and programs for aging, autism, addiction, clinical research, children's services, victim advocacy and workforce development.
Graduates pursue advanced study in psychology, as well as employment in human service settings and mental health facilities. A psychology major is also great preparation for careers in law, business, human resources management, advertising and sales.
