Students are often unaware that withdrawals from courses and failing grades impact their eligibility for financial aid, as well as their academic standing. Be informed of the policies below that may affect your standing with Saint Leo University. For more information regarding your particular standing, please reach out to your Student Success Coach.
Course Withdrawal: If a student wishes to withdraw from a class within the deadline set forth on the Academic Calendar, they will need to reach out to their Student Success Coach or Faculty Mentor to request to be withdrawn from the course. Students are encouraged to make an appointment to discuss the financial impacts that may be related to withdrawing from one or more courses.
Semester Hiatus: If a student knows that they will not be in attendance for a semester or term, but they plan to return to continue their education, they will need to make an appointment with their student success coach to complete the Semester/Term Hiatus form. At this appointment, the student will be informed of any potential impacts of the request for hiatus and guided to the appropriate resources on campus for information specific to their situation.
Withdrawal from the University: If a student will no longer be attending Saint Leo, they will need to make an appointment with their student success coach to complete the Voluntary Withdrawal form. At this appointment, the student will be informed of any potential impacts of the request for withdrawal and guided to the appropriate resources on campus for information specific to their situation.
