Saint Leo men's lacrosse team was selected as the No. 2 seed of the South Region on Sunday night during the 2018 NCAA Division II Men's Lacrosse Championship selection show. Saint Leo will host No. 3 seed Tampa in the quarterfinals at 1 p.m., Saturday, May 12, on the campus of Saint Leo University.

 

The Lions, under the direction of head coach Brad Jorgensen, will play the No. 3 seed Tampa in the Lions first-ever program NCAA appearance. The South Region game will be played at University Turf Stadium.

Kevin O'Donnell and Jeff Tewksbury of WTVT-TV, Fox 13, visited Saint Leo on Tuesday in advance of Saturday's game to take a look at the Lions. They interviewed senior Jake Gilmour of Ontario, Canada, and junior Julian Taylor of Tampa, as well as Jorgensen.
