Each residential student lives in an intentional community with an assigned graduate/undergraduate Resident Assistant (RA) to provide support, answer questions and assist with maintenance concerns. Each RA provides students in their community with programs designed for their needs, opportunities for students to interact with each other, and a chance to participate in a thriving and interactive community. RAs also serve to connect students to other resources on the University campus.
Campus residents have free access to 60 channels, including MTV, TLC, BET, ESPN and other major networks. Premium cable services are available through BrightHouse cable (our service provider). Basic cable is available in every residence hall room and recreation lounge. We encourage students to tune into our own campus television, SLU TV, which can be found on channel 96.
Students living in the residence halls have free access to high-speed Internet connections through wireless service and/or wired connections provided by the institution. Questions about computer and internet connections on campus should be directed to University Technology Services.
Traditional furnishings provided in each room include a twin bed, desk, desk chair, dresser, and wardrobe/closet. In addition, a microfridge and microwave are provided in each student room/suite/apartment (apartments with a full refrigerator do not have a microfridge).
The housekeeping staff cleans all common areas (laundry rooms, lounges, lobbies, hallways, and community bathrooms). Student room and private bathroom/suite/apartment cleaning is the responsibility of the resident. Pest control is provided on a consistent basis, or as requested to meet special needs.
Laundry facilities are available free to all residents within their assigned hall (Alumni Hall and Roderick Hall shares laundry facilities). The laundry rooms are open 24 hours a day for your convenience. No bags of quarters needed at Saint Leo!
There are lounge facilities in most residence halls with comfortable furniture, televisions and recreational equipment such as pool tables and ping pong tables. They are available to all residents of the hall and their guests. Private reservations for spaces must be requested and approved through Student Services.
Students can sign up for a university mailbox upon arrival on campus. All student mail is available at the Stephen Herrmann Mail Center located between Alumni Hall and Crawford Hall. Students are issued a box and a key and are responsible for carrying their key in order to access their mail. UPS delivers to the University daily. Student packages are delivered to the Stephen Herrmann Mail Center. When a student receives a UPS package he/she will receive a package slip in his/her mailbox.
All mail/packages being shipped to a student should be addressed as follows:
Saint Leo University
Mail Code #______
33701 State Road 52
Saint Leo, FL 33574
The maintenance staff completes all routine and emergency maintenance needs. Students can submit their own maintenance requests online and the online system includes email notifications when work orders are received, assigned and completed. If requests are not completed in a timely manner, students should notify the Office of Residence Life.

Having a car on campus is not a necessity for a resident; however, students who wish to have a car on campus may do so by registering their vehicle with Student Financial Support Center and purchasing a parking decal. For students without vehicles, free monthly trips to shops in the local area including Walmart, Target or the Wiregrass Mall are available through the Student Activities office.
Residence hall students receive free local and on campus telephone service featuring voice-mail and call forwarding through IP phones with an ethernet connection (phones available through University Technology Services). Students wishing to make long distance calls must contact their own long distance carrier to make arrangements or purchase pre-paid phone cards. Voice-mail services are accessible by dialing ext. 8550 from any on-campus phone or 352-588-8550 from an outside line. When prompted, enter your room phone extension (ex. 1234) followed by the # key. Then enter your voice-mail pass-code followed by the # key.
