In this program, doctorate students learn the skills necessary to critically assess theoretical concepts, intervention modalities, public policy, and social order issues. They also become fully immersed into the broad range of criminal justice practices that impact law enforcement, corrections, the courts, and gain a greater knowledge of criminal justice by objectively studying the processes and procedures commonly used within the various areas of study.
In total, the Doctor of Criminal Justice is a 60-credit hour program which takes approximately 3.5 years to complete (the last four course sessions relate solely to the dissertation).
