Why choose an Environmental Studies Minor at Saint Leo?

At only 15 credit hours, the environmental studies minor can easily fit into most schedules. This minor is especially useful for students who wish to work in a field related to the environment and animals. By completing coursework in this minor, students will develop a greater understanding of what is happening in our environment and ways to become responsible stewards as well as advance their critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

This Minor Comprises of the Following Courses

Courses are offered regularly and you can pick from any five of the following classes to complete the minor:

  2. ENV 330 Creating Sustainable Societies
  3. ENV 350 Global Climate Change
  4. LBS 320 Investigating National Parks
  5. PHI 346 Environmental Ethics
  6. REL 488 EcoTheology
  7. SOC 330 Environmental Sociology
