    COVID-19 Vaccine Incentives

While students, faculty, and staff are not required to get a COVID-19 vaccine, Saint Leo University would like to reward those who do. The COVID-19 vaccine will help keep our community healthy and strong so that learning and community connection can stay a priority.

All those students, faculty, and staff who register their COVID-19 vaccination with the university will be entered into weekly prize drawings. The drawings will held from August 13, 2021 to October 1, 2021.

    Here’s How it Works

    1. Submit a copy of your COVID-19 vaccination card. If you already submitted your card or were vaccinated at a Saint Leo University vaccine clinic, you will automatically be entered into the drawings. Students should submit a copy of the vaccination card to center@saintleo.edu and faculty and staff should submit a copy to HR@saintleo.edu. Your information will not be shared with others outside of the health center or human resources.
    2. Be entered into a prize drawing. The list for the drawing will be updated by 5 p.m. EDT each Thursday to include the names of any new vaccinated individuals. You do not need to resubmit a copy of your vaccination card to be entered each week.
    3. Win one of the many exciting prizes. All winners will be notified of their prize by each Friday afternoon until October 1, 2021. A list of available prizes are included below. Each individual entered into the drawing will only be eligible to receive one prize.

    Why Get Vaccinated?

COVID-19 vaccines can help you protect yourself and others. The more people who are vaccinated in our community, the more likely the university will be able to lift the restrictions that are in place to protect the health of everyone at the university. Here’s a summary of the university’s current guidelines, based on vaccination status:

    Vaccinated Individuals

    • With the recent spike in COVID-19 cases and the rise of the delta variant, vaccinated individuals must wear masks while indoors.
    • The daily COVID-19 check-in app is no longer required.
    • Quarantine is no longer required for vaccinated individuals who come in contact with someone who has COVID-19, unless they test positive for COVID-19.

    Unvaccinated Individuals

    • Mask or face coverings are required when indoors and outside when in the presence of others.
    •  Random testing for COVID-19 is required for individuals who have not been vaccinated.
    • Use of the daily check-in app is required if individuals experience symptoms of COVID-19.
    • Quarantine is required for unvaccinated individuals who have been in contact with someone who has COVID-19 or who have tested positive.
