COVID-19 Vaccination Rates

COVID-19 Vaccination Rates in Our Community

While Saint Leo University is not requiring students, faculty, and staff to be vaccinated against COVID-19, it is highly encouraged. The COVID-19 vaccine can help protect our university community, keeping everyone healthy and safe.

This chart is updated each Friday and shows the percentage of students and employees at University Campus who have self-reported their vaccination status. Students who would like to share their vaccination status should submit a copy of their vaccination card to health.center@saintleo.edu, and faculty and staff should submit a copy to HR@saintleo.edu. Your information will not be shared with others outside of the health center or human resources.

    Why Get Vaccinated?

COVID-19 vaccines can help you protect yourself and others. The more people who are vaccinated in our community, the more likely the university will be able to lift the restrictions that are in place to protect the health of everyone at the university. Here’s a summary of the university’s current guidelines, based on vaccination status:

    Vaccinated Individuals

    • With the exception of inside our classrooms, vaccinated individuals are no longer required to wear masks.
    • The daily COVID-19 check-in app is no longer required.
    • Quarantine is no longer required for vaccinated individuals who come in contact with someone who has COVID-19, unless they test positive for COVID-19.

    Unvaccinated Individuals

    • Mask or face coverings are required when indoors and when in the presence of others.
    •  Random testing for COVID-19 is required for individuals who have not been vaccinated.
    • Use of the daily check-in app is required if individuals experience symptoms of COVID-19.
    • Quarantine is required for unvaccinated individuals who have been in contact with someone who has COVID-19 or who have tested positive.
