Welcome to Our Music Community

The Saint Leo University Community Music School is a place of belonging for music lovers of all ages. From summer camps and community choir groups to private lessons, the Community Music School offers a variety of opportunities to learn and practice music with the expert guidance of Saint Leo University faculty members, who also are professional musicians in the community.

Summer Camps 

Music Summer Camps

Beginning in summer 2024, the Saint Leo University Community Music School will host several music summer camps at its campus in East Pasco County. These camps are designed for elementary, middle, and high school students who are currently enrolled in music programs or who take private lessons and want to be part of a group that spurs creativity and expression through sound.

 

  • General Music Camp for Elementary School Students
    Dates: June 3-7, 2024 | 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

  • Band Camp for Middle and High School Students
    June 10-14, 2024 | 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

  • Voice Camp for Middle and High School Students
    June 17-21, 2024 | 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
    Instructors: Dr. Chul Young Kim, Dr. Cynthia Selph, Chris Romeo

  • Summer Adult Choir and Adult Band
    May 13, to July 2, 2023
    These adult groups will have a patriotic concert on July 2, 2023.
    $160 per person from

Each camp is $345. The registration fee must be paid prior to the start date. A 10 percent discount is available to military members, Saint Leo University employees, and their children.

Private Lessons

Love to Learn Music

The Saint Leo University Community Music School is a place for those who love music. Whether you already sing or play an instrument, or want to learn how, the Community Music School provides one-on-one coaching to help you develop your talents and further your love for learning music.  

Youth and adult learners are welcome to sign up for private lessons during eight-week sessions held in the summer and eight-week and 12-week sessions held during the regular school year. A music gala is held every 12 weeks for students in the school. Lessons are available year-round, excluding federal and state holidays.

$40 per lesson or $320 when paid in full 

50-minute Lessons for Eight Weeks
$70 per lesson or $560 when paid in full

Private Lessons are on a first-come, first-served basis. Once spots are full, we may not be able to open others at that time. However, there will be a wait list, as each community school offering will be open every eight-week or 12-week interval, depending on whether summer or school year.

Choir & Ensembles

Make memories with music

Be a part of a community that is passionate about music. The Saint Leo University Community Music School invites musicians to be a part of an ensemble, and singers to join one of our choir groups.
