Saint Leo University provides for the confidentiality of student records in accordance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). To be able to discuss your education record with your parents, spouse, or other persons whom you designate, you must provide your authorization. Your education records include, but are not limited to: records, files, documents and other material that contain information directly related to the student and are maintained by the university or a person acting for the university. This includes admission, enrollment, financial aid, academic, and disciplinary records.

Students who wish to restrict all access of education records from all non-university personnel may contact the Registrar’s Office to discuss the option and process for a FERPA Hold. If you make this election, information that you are/were a student will be suppressed. In accordance with your request of confidential status, we will respond to verification requests from loan companies, prospective employers, or other individuals indicating that we have no record of your attendance at Saint Leo University.
All requests to change or rescind a FERPA Release or Hold must be submitted in writing to the Registrar’s Office.
