In order to foster an environment that promotes academic success, it is vital that students be placed in certain courses early in their academic careers. To ensure this, Saint Leo University requires that all first year, first time in college (FTIC) students complete the Math and English placement exams prior to receiving your first semester course schedule.
Students in the International Bridge Program are only required to complete the Math Placement Exam. You will receive more information from Bridge Program Director, Iona Sarieva prior to taking this placement exam. Finally, students in the Honors Program are not required to complete placement exams.
Students that do not complete both placement exams by the deadlinewill be placed in ENG 002-Basic Composition Skills and MAT 003-Basic Algebra
To guarantee placement in the Math and English courses that best reflect your skills and abilities,Saint Leo University encourages students to take the placement exams seriously. All students are expected to uphold Saint Leo University’s Core Value of Integrity as well as the university’sAcademic Honor Code.
There are two ways to complete placement exams: In the Center for Academic Vision & Excellence at Saint Leo University or Online using ProctorU, an online proctoring service. To get started, click an option below.
