Become part of the Saint Leo University community as a member of the Silver Scholars program! Members are neighbors and friends of the university who believe in life-long learning and who are looking to engage with today’s youth and other active seniors—whether feisty at 55 or sharp and studious at 70.


  • Specific Silver Scholar events and activities, including socials, book clubs, tours, and more.
  • Opportunity to attend free, or at a discount, academic lectures, workshops, classes, and events.
  • Opportunity to attend free, or at a discount, workshops and courses in performing and fine arts
  • Subscription to the Silver Scholars events e-newsletter
  • Reserved seating at select university events.
  • Free buffet lunch at university pep rally picnics (twice a year)
  • University identification card (provides university and Tampa Bay-area discounts)
  • A welcome box of complimentary Saint Leo merchandise to show your school spirit.
  • Free Community Patron Library Card for book and DVD borrowing


  • $10 Saint Leo Dining Hall meals ($5-$7/meal savings)
  • Discounted or free Saint Leo University Athletics home games

Become a Silver Scholar

Membership is $100 per person, annually

After you submit your information to become a Silver Scholar you will be re-directed to pay for the membership into the program at Saint Leo University's Center for Alternative Pathway Programs (CAPPS) website.
