Each student attending our traditional program at University Campus full time (12 or more credit hours) is required to carry health insurance. This policy applies to commuter students registered full time as well.
To assist students in following this policy, the university automatically enrolls students in the university-endorsed health insurance plan and bills their student accounts.Coverage is through UnitedHealthcare and the premium for the insurance policy for students who enrolled in the 2020 Fall term is $1,812.00. The coverage period generally extends from August 1st 2020 to July 31st 2021. Students enrolling for the spring semester only will be charged $1,052.00 The coverage period for these students is from January 1, 2021 – July 31, 2021.

Students with their own insurance through a group or individual plan may waive the coverage and avoid the fee. To waive the insurance, students should complete the online waiver process. Insurance waivers can only be submitted online. Insurance waivers for students enrolling in Spring 2021 must be completed by February 19, 2021. Click here to access the insurance waiver.
Note: International students may not waive this coverage unless they have coverage with a U.S. provider.
WAIVER OPENS: The online waiver process will be available for students entering in the Spring 2021 semester through February 19, 2021. PLEASE NOTE: Students will not have access to the waiver process until they have been registered full time. Students will receive an email when they are able to complete the waiver process.
