You may also choose to pursue your degree through one of our education centers, which merge a traditional in-person education with the flexibility to match your lifestyle. Education centers offer eight-week academic terms as well as evening and weekend classes.
Saint Leo University offers specialization options for international hospitality management students. You can customize your degree to match your passions by choosing one of the following concentrations.
The degree will uniquely qualify students in the Event Management Specialization to use Project Management tools to initiate, plan, execute, monitor, and close projects. The curriculum has been modeled after the Event Management Body of Knowledge (EMBOK) which sets standards for the industry.
Students choosing the lodging management specialization will receive an integrated management approach to managing in the lodging industry. Students in both specializations will be introduced to the hospitality industry, customer engagement, food and beverage management, experiential learning, human resources management, professional development.
No matter which learning experience you choose, you will receive plenty of professional development opportunities, industry knowledge from expert professors, and support from the Saint Leo community. Students gain practical, real life experience while performing an internship for credit at a host agency anywhere in the world! Our students have built up their resumes at Walt Disney World Resort, SeaWorld, Busch Gardens, AAA Auto Club South, InterContinental Hotels Group, Tampa Convention Center, and the Tahuayo Lodge in Peru, to name a few.
Saint Leo University maintains partnerships with more than a dozen international universities, and organizes for-credit, faculty-led excursions and alternative spring breaks.
Attend hospitality and tourism-related shows and conferences, such as the Florida Restaurant and Lodging Show, International Hotel, Motel + Restaurant Show, Florida Tourism Day, Southeast Tourism Society’s Spring Symposium, and Destination: Capitol Hill.
