Why choose a specialization in Hospitality Management?

A multi-billion dollar industry, hospitality employs nearly 9.5 million people in the U.S. alone. Faced with major impacts to the industry – a retiring baby boomer demographic (with the means and potential to travel) and a shrinking workforce – the potential for jobs in the hospitality industry is vast.

A degree specialization in hospitality management can open the door for career opportunities in hotels, restaurants, theme parks, attractions, night clubs, food service facilities, private clubs, and cruise ships. With hospitality entities worldwide, the opportunities are endless. A career in hospitality can provide highly competitive wages in a fun and exciting environment.

Framed by the Atlantic Ocean and Orlando on one side and the Gulf of Mexico and Tampa Bay on the other, Saint Leo University is ideally situated for the study of hospitality management. Just one hour outside of the world’s most popular destination, Orlando, students have access to the world’s leading theme parks and hotels. Steeped in tradition, since 1889, this beautiful campus is the perfect learning environment.

Central Florida’s hospitality industry is based on world-class attractions that range from theme parks and beaches to year-round sunny weather and a diverse cultural heritage. Its vast array of hospitality companies includes both well-known corporate brands and outstanding local establishments. All this is connected to the rest of the world via superb transportation systems and promotional organizations.
